NINE DAYS IN MAY

"Your Car is Ready"
Upon awakening in the morning I lay quietly in bed and meditated for several minutes. The guides spoke to me during the meditation.
"Your car is ready. You will know it when you see it. Think Blue. You will get it at a reasonable price.
I had decided to purchase a new car and had made plans to look at cars today with my son Jim. When we arrived at the car lot I was shown six cars before I saw the blue one. As soon as I saw it I received confirmation from the guides that this was the right car. I purchased it immediately. I felt that I was guided to purchase the ideal car for me. It was as though the car was a gift from the guides.
The Third Waitress in the Third Restaurant
In a dream in the early morning I was told to go to the third waitress in the third restaurant. Upon awakening this made little sense to me.
I left my new car to have a stereo cassette player installed and headed off to the shopping center for breakfast. The first two restaurants I went to were closed. It wasn't until I walked into the third restaurant that I recalled the dream. Entering the restaurant I looked around. There was only one waitress there and another girl cleaning tables. I was the only customer there. When the waitress brought me the bill I looked at it and saw that she was waitress number three. The guides confirmed to me that she was indeed waitress number three. I was told to contact both girls working there at that time.
Shelley and Jessie
As I paid my bill I talked to the waitress. Server number three was Shelley She had been working there for the past year. We talked for awhile and she told me the other girl's name was Jessie.
Other customers were arriving and Shelley was busy so I left the restaurant and walked out into the shopping mall. I noticed Jessie returning to the restaurant so I approached her and we talked for awhile.
Jessie, age twenty-two, was married to John. She had a dream to own her own restaurant. While having breakfast I observed Jessie pleasantly going about her work, cleaning up, wiping tables and preparing for the days activities.
Both girls displayed very pleasant personalities am I am sure that both of them will be very successful.
Shelley Number Three
Walking into another section of the shopping mall I sat quietly and began to write in my journal. I then noticed a young girl standing in the doorway of a clothing sports store.
"Speak to her" the guides told me. "She will be going into physical education at the university."
I walked over to the store.
"Is there anything I can help you with," she asked.
"No thank you, not right now. But if I see anything I'll let you know." I replied.
Noticing that she spoke with an accent which I assumed to be from Eastern Canada I asked here where she was from.
"I'm from Winnipeg and I have been here in Calgary for four years," she replied.
Her name was Shelley and the third girl by that name I had established contact with recently. I asked Shelley to tell me a little about herself and she replied.
"I am nineteen years old and I will be going into university soon. My goal is to get a degree in physical education. I want to teach physical education"
Shelley was wearing blue pants which matched the color of my blue balloon. I told her the story of the blue balloon. Then I asked her what kind of pants they were.
"They are balloon pants," she replied
"Confirmation enough" I heard the guides say.
Perhaps Love
I left Shelley and went into the coffee shop. Over a cup of coffee I reflected about the contacts I was making and asked myself the question, "What is thia all about?".
Clearly, the voice in my head responded, "Perhaps Love". The voice continued, "Go to the musical section of the store and you will see."
I finished my coffee and headed for the music section humming the song 'Perhaps love' to myself. I thought I would purchase a few cassette tapes of classical music to listen to while I was driving my new car. I arrived at the tape section and the very first tape I saw was on by Placido Domingo. Reaching down, I picked up the tape and read the label. 'Perhaps Love'. I purchased the tape.
Edward and Dianna
As I was browsing in the tape department I noticed a young lady who was with an elderly gentleman.
"You are to talk to her," I was informed by the guides.
With my tape in hand I went to the cash register where the saleslady was conversing with the lady and the gentleman. Overhearing the gentleman say that he lived in Vancouver and would be going back home soon, I interjected that I would be going to Vancouver in a few days. After paying for our purchases we talked for awhile.
The gentleman introduced himself as Edward and he was with his daughter-in-law Dianna, who was born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia and lives in Calgary. Dianna was married to Leonard Phillip who was named after Prince Phillip. He was born in 1951 when Prince Phillip was visiting Canada. They have three children, two girls and one boy.
Kim and Tim
Leaving Edward and Dianna I decided to walk about the shopping mall. As I was walking past a picture framing and art store I was guided to go in. I saw a small painting which I liked and purchased it as a gift to myself. As I was paying for the painting the guides informed me to include the salesgirl in the book.
Kim was born in Edmonton and now lived in Calgary. She told me she would be twenty-one next month. She was wearing a blue tee shirt with the inscription 'Side by Side' on the front.
As we were talking Kim suddenly turned around to change the music which was playing on her cassette player. The told told me to ask her about the music.
I did so and Kim showed me the cassette case and I read the following as another confirmation that the guides and I were communicating. Some of the song titles were, 'The Group'.... 'Never Stop'... 'The Rescue'... 'The Puppet'....'Do It Clean' .... 'The Back of Love' .... and 'A Promise'. The artists were "Echo and the Bunnymen".
As Kim and I were concluding our talk, Tim, a friend of Kim's stopped by to inform her that he was going to London, England and would return to see her in August. The three of us then chatted briefly.
Donna
Leaving Kim and Tim I headed for the record store at the other end of the mall to purchase the cassette tape which Kim had been playing. The salesgirl in the record store, Donna, was most helpful. I was able to purchase several tapes including the "bunnymen" and one entitled "Simon and Garfunckels Greatest Hits" which included the song, 'Bridge Over Troubles Waters'.
Donna is married to Tom and she was very interested in music and loved the type of work she was engaged in.
Assists From Carol
Noticing it was 3 P.M. I decided to walk back to my son's place to rest for a few hours before he returned home from work. As I left the shopping center it began to snow and I thought it unusual to see snow in the middle of May. Then I remembered I was in Calgary where it has been known to snow in the middle of the summer. Calgary has a high altitude, similar to Denver, where it is often difficult to forecast the weather.
I picked up my car later in the evening and decided to visit my brother Bill. Realizing the gas was low, I stopped at a service station to fill up. I could not locate the gas tank cover release. After looking for several minutes the girl at the self serve station came out from her booth to help me look for it. I found it most exciting looking for the release. I did not know where the release was; nor did she. I felt like a small boy exploring a toy for new and exciting parts.
As we were looking she told me her name was Carol. Finally she suggested we look in the glove compartment. I let her look there and she found the button that released the gas cover.
"She is to be included." I was told by the guides.
Carol recenly turned twenty. and had been married to John for two years. She has lived In calgary all her life and enjoyed working. John and Carol are active bowlers, having recently placed second in a bowling tournament.
The Snow Keeps Falling
I spent several hours visiting with my brother Bill. During the evening the snow continued to fall. By 9 P.M. several inches of snow had accumulated and driving was extremely tricky. The power was off in that part of the city and a storm warning was broadcast.
I drove back to my son's place as the weather gradually worsened and driving conditions were extremely bad. I parked my car in front of the house and spent some time writing in my journal before retiring for the night.
