THE HARMONIC CONVERGENCE

SEVEN DAYS AT MT SHASTA

Day Two - August 16, 1987 -

Upon awakening the first thing I heard was a voice in the distance.

"Happy new Earth."

I sat up in my sleeping bag to listen to and observe the excitement on the mountain. It was still dark and cars were arriving to begin the gathering of the Convergence. There was a lot of energy. I could hear the sounds of many people talking and things were buzzing. Jeff was up early preparing orange tea and I enjoyed the luxury of breakfast in bed.

It was still dark at 4:30 a.m. At 4:36 a.m. I spotted a UFO heading south and at 4:39 a.m. I observed two UFOs heading south and southeast respectively.

At dawn, Brenda, Denise, Judith, Jeff and I gathered higher up on the mountain and meditated quietly as the sun slowly rose over the eastern ridge. The strength of people humming and chanting reminded me of a buzz- saw in operation.

At 6:33 a.m. I was directed by the guides to talk with several people on the mountain. Greg spoke about the alignment of the planets and the significance thereof.

"What it is," he told me, "is there are seven planets that are in fire signs and three others forming the configuration of the Star of David, which has never happened before. This is the first time this has happened and this will happen tomorrow on the 17th. There is the configuration of ten (planets) somehow."

A Grand Trine in the Fire Signs
Several weeks ago, in Spokane, Washington, I visited with two dear friends, Marianne and Molly. Both of these woman have been students and teachers of astrology from many years. They informed me that there would be a grand trine in fire signs on August 17th, 1987 - with the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars in Leo; Jupiter in Aries; and Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius.

Marianne and Molly both felt that this astro-logical perspective was well suited to an event such as the Harmonic Convergence.

After leaving Greg I was guided to speak to Jim and Betty and their two children, Dennis and Vanessa. I asked the two children their ages.

"She's four and I'm five," responded Dennis.

"Which of you is the oldest?" I asked Dennis.

"Me!" he replied.

Turning to Betty I asked why they were on the mountain.

"We're from Redding. We came up for this gathering."

When our conversation turned to UFOs, Jim replied that he has seen a lot of them around the mountain.

"I' ve been waiting for a craft to pick us up one of these days," Jim stated. "But they never do."

"Have you made contact with any extra-terrestrials?" I asked.

"I' ve seen some strange things, but I don't know what they were; I'm not going to say. I would like to go for a ride," Jim replied.

"Me too," I responded.

Upon visiting Mt Shasta one year ago I met Gabriel, a cave man, who took me to a stream that flowed up from the ground. Gabriel told me that the 'headwaters' were the beginning of a long stream. Powerful healing energies were found at that spot. The Wintun Indians of Northern California considered the headwaters sacred. Later in the morning I took Brenda, Judith, Denise and Jeff to the stream where we sat in meditation for some time.

At 8:33 a.m. the guides spoke to me again.

"Talk to the young fellow sitting by the creek," I was told.

It was then that I noticed him sitting quietly by himself. I went over and began a conversation. I then asked him his name.

"Madhukara," he replied. "My name is Madhukara."

I asked him to spell it for me. Then I asked him what the name mean

"Madhukara is a spiritual name that I have taken on. It means love. It means maker of sweet love."

"I'm a bit of a mystic, meaning that I don't know the answers. I appreciate the mystery of life," he told me.

"Where do you call home?" I asked.

"Ashland, Oregon," he replied.

"That's the cultural center of North America," I stated.

"It's a wonderful cultural center. I enjoy Shakespeare and a number of different artistic events." he responded.

I asked Madhukara if he came to Mt Shasta often.

He replied, "I' ve come here every year for maybe seventeen or eighteen years. I haven't been here for a couple of years at this point. It's nice returning home. It's beautiful here."

Madhukara went on. "I am a single father. I have two children. My son is thirteen and my daughter will be eleven in a couple of weeks. Nanda is my daughter and Aaron my son. Nanda means bliss and Aaron means light. My kids have been living with their mom for the last three years and now they are living with me for the next couple of years. Madhukara related a story to me in which he enjoyed playing with his children.

"Yesterday we bought a boomerang downtown. We were in a shop and I saw this book, called The Boomerang Book. It had a boomerang attached to the cover and there were instructions on how to throw it. It was a nice little boomerang, so we brought it up here. On the very first throw it made a huge circle and came around. It ended up back in the trees and we had to go get it. My son was down there watching the whole thing. I was looking into the sun and it disappeared. I had no idea where it was. It landed way, way in back of us. It was so incredible." Madhukara bubbled with excitement for life and showed obvious joy and happiness to be with his two children.

Following my conversation with Madhukara, I went to join Brenda, Denise and Judy. We were joined by three young fellows, Joseph, Michael and Anthony. The seven of us enjoyed a pleasant conversation. I recalled talking with Joseph one year ago when I was on the mountain. He told me a little about himself.

"I am often called Josiah," he told me. "When I lived in Santa Cruz, people started calling me that. I like the name. He was the last good king of Judea."

She was sitting by herself near the headwaters. When I saw her I was told by the guides that she was a singer and that I should speak to her. I walked over and spoke to here. She introduced herself as Lani Lila.

"You are a singer?" I asked.

"Yeah," she replied, "I sure am."

"You do a good job of it, a very good job. You have a good voice," I told her.

"Thank you," she replied. "Where did you hear me sing?"

"I haven't heard you sing," I told her.

"You just felt it," she stated.

"What kind of singing do you do?" I asked.

She replied, "I like to sing songs that inspire people; spiritual heart songs that open hearts and old folk songs. I have a few songs that I have written myself."

I asked Lani Lila where home was for her.

She replied, "Chico. It's two and one half hours south on Highway 99. It's a beautiful little college town. Chico has a reputation as the number one party town in the country rated by Playboy magazine. I wasn't very enthused about it. The college community thought it was wonderful and printed tee-shirts and made a big to- do. I tend to shy away from that element."

We talked about my writings and about her interest in music.

"Writing is a nice vehicle for sharing your feelings. Music is that way for me," she stated.

"Yes. I work with music to some degree. I do a lot of work with color and music for relaxation and mood changes in my counselling," I told her.

"Oh do you?" she replied. "I'm very interested in color therapy, in music, color and healing in that way."

I asked Lani Lila if she sang professionally.

"No." she replied. "I just sing for friends, in circles around campfires and occasionally at church. I also play the guitar. I'm not very good, but it's amazing, you don't have to be."

"As long as you enjoy it," I commented. "If you enjoy it then other people feel the enjoyment and the vibration also."

She went on. "The other day I was feeling kind of bored. I looked up and noticed a man performing Tai Chi. Watching him inspired me to play my guitar. As he danced, I played. Afterwards he was at my feet with tears in his eyes. Emotionally he said, 'Thank you so much'. That was a beautiful experience for me."

I left Lani Lila and headed back to the parking lot. As I was maneuvering over the rocks, I met five young children who were playing in the trees. They were from Stockton, California, six hours drive to the south. They introduced themselves and we had a short conversation. Megan and Eric were seven years old, while Timmy was six, Gregory nine and Steven three.

Steven, the three year old, asked me a question.

"Do you live in Stockton too?"

"No" I replied. "I live in British Columbia, Canada. Have you heard of Canada?"

"Uh, uh!" he said.

"You live farther than Stockton, don't you?" asked Timmy

"How long have you been here?" I inquired.

Eric replied, "A couple of days. We are leaving today."

Leaving the children I had a strong feeling that I should continue to my vehicle. This feeling was followed by the voice of the guides prompting me to go to the parking lot. Thinking I was to make a contact there I followed the inner feeling and guidance. As I neared the parking lot, I heard a voice coming from some nearby rocks.

"Yashah!"

I looked over to see Janice waving to me. I had met Janice and her husband Michael and their two children, Sadie and Kelsey one year ago at Mt Shasta. I had been with them for ten days and we shared some wonderful moments together. They lived in Ohio so I had not expected to see them here for the Convergence. I was happy to see Janice and I gave her an embracing hug. They now reside in the Mt Shasta area. We made plans to meet later.

Ironically, I had been thinking of Michael and Janice a lot earlier in the day, wishing I could see them again.

Later in the day Brenda, Denise and Judy invited me to join four of their friends for supper at the KOA Campground in Mt Shasta City. As I received the invitation, the guides spoke to me.

"It is important that you connect with these people. You will form a group of nine. For the remainder of your stay on the mountain you will experience the group of nine energy. This group of nine will interchange members from time to time. At times, there will be eight in the physical and one unseen in the spiritual. Nevertheless the group will experience the energy of all nine entities. Acknowledge the invitation."

Upon arriving at the KOA Campground I noted that their campsite was appropriately numbered 93.

"Confirmation that you are to connect with these people," I heard the guides say.

It was here that I was introduced to Gerry, Christine, Ian and Hilary. Gerry and Christine are from Vancouver, B.C. and had been together only four months. Both are spiritual people involved in metaphysical endeavours. Ian and Hilary are close friends of Gerry and Christine and are from Montreal. They flew to San Francisco and rented a car to come to Mt Shasta to be with their friends. All four were excited about being together to experience the Harmonic Convergence. Ian and Hilary were operating a very successful catering business in Montreal. Together the nine of us (eight in the physical and one unseen) enjoyed a delicious chicken supper prepared by Ian at the picnic table on the campsite.

Later in the evening the ladies and I returned to the mountain where we spent the night. I slept comfortably in my sleeping bag in my car while the girls slept nearby in their van.

CRYSTAL INSTRUCTION

I slept on the mountain of Shasta last nigh
Where nature spirits and deva energies abide
Bundled in my sleeping bag tight
I dreamed I was taken inside.

During the night I was awakened from sleep
And taken within a huge crystal bright
Within the magical mountain deep
And received instructions throughout the night.

From the eye of the crystal flowed a stream
That connected with my being
A steady flow of love energy green
To my third eye to improve my seeing.

Upon awakening I forgot what I heard
As I meditated in the morning at dawn
From an inner voice I heard the words
Enjoy and have fun as you travel on.
